Welcome! I'm so glad you stopped by. Before I get to know you I'm sure you'd like to get to know me....so pull up a chair.
I'm a California raised, Southern living, mom of four who is a little hippy but doesn't like to look like one! In my spare time you can find me with my feet in the grass, a good book in hand, sipping on some tea while watching my four kids running around the yard or hiking and biking around town. I'm happiest when I'm out in nature connecting with God's gifts to us in His beautiful creation or listening to a good playlist. My hobbies include photography, soapmaking, and developing new healthier recipes in the kitchen.
I am a recovering perfectionist and an unapologetic empath still learning to embrace the now and not yet while seeking to always listen to my own body and accept that healing takes time. Contentedly residing in the greater Atlanta area I am happily married to a full-time Pastor and as a result have the unique perspective of getting a front row seat to God's work in His kingdom. The peace and beauty of nature, decadently rich chocolate truffles, and fluffy cuddly cats are my proof that there is good in this world amidst the hard trials we endure.
My passion for health and wellness was kindled from my own life altering diagnoses of Lyme Disease and Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) after several years of ongoing declining health. After seeing 20+ physicians over 4 years I became all too aware of the weaknesses in the medical community and the lack of support for the chronically ill. As I began healing from my health challenges I poured myself into my studies so that I could one day be able to reach out to those on the other side with empathy and understanding that I get the challenge, I understand the pain, and I'm here to help. Throughout my life I have lost a parent to alcoholism, spent months bed bound, years housebound, battled anxiety and depression, raised children in the midst of illness, and learned to live while enduring severe pain from my health challenges. Each of these experiences has taught me that beauty can be found in suffering, joy and contentment can coexist within trials, and no matter how much we have endured our lives and our health are worth fighting for!
I graduated from The Functional Medicine Coaching Academy which is in collaboration with The Institute for Functional Medicine as a Certified Health Coach. In addition I am a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and have a background in Psychology. I support individuals as they wade out the abundance of new information regarding their health & diagnosis, educating them on the influential power of nutrition and lifestyle factors and teaching them how to live optimally physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Along the way encouraging them to show kindness to their own bodies. I view all of life through the lens of scripture and believe our spiritual walk affects our physical walk.
